Studio Ben Jack Nash is a polymorphic and transdisciplinary practise at the intersection of art, knowledge theory and compelling purpose-driven projects. Our award winning work has been the subject of extensive publications, media coverage, national and international exhibitions and public debates.

A R T P R A C T I S E

Spanning sculpture, installation, film and performance; the art studio is quite simply the foundation for everything else. It shapes the theory that we apply and the projects that we produce in tandem with others. These artworks often revolve around concepts of threshold zones, entanglement and liminality and evoke subjects around loss, disappearance and transition.

K N O W L E D G E T H E O R Y

Our work has led to an intuition and epistemology developed through a process of doing and making in the studio rather than in the library. We use this to collaborate with experts in the sciences and humanities to unlock alternative ways to question institutionalised and received wisdom and which can help towards addressing stubborn problems.

P U R P O S E D R I V E N P R O J E C T S

With a background also in human rights and social justice, we continue to work with the impact sector and change-makers on singular and diverse issues that cut across human rights, social justice and the climate crisis. We collaborate with academics, NGOs, universities and local authorities. We draw on the visual arts to create dynamic projects that help in raising both profiles and funds.
