We don't often get to see the projects that didn't see the light of day or I prefer to think of them, haven't yet made it. There are many reasons why a particular project was not selected or went unrealised.

A few are - poorly described, not feasible, doesn't fit with the curator's vision, wrong artist profile, not enough/ too much experience, not enough/ too much detail, unoriginal. Most of the time we are competing against hundreds of applications of very high standards.

Artists probably spend more time writing proposals as they do in the studio making work and each one has to be tailored to the brief in question.

Anyway, I thought this would be a useful resource/ archive/ invitation to see just how much is invested into these things.
